Installations

We strongly recommend enlisting our technicians to measure the space(s) in question before purchasing replacements.  Even a slightly mis-sized unit can cause installation costs to skyrocket.  Such measurement visits are not billed as full service calls, but merely as accrued time.

There are always variables in replacements; until we have an existing unit removed, we usually cannot identify the plumbing/electrical system behind it.  We need ample time to be able to address these discrepancies and, in the case of rental homes, cannot perform installations in 'back-to-back' time slots.

Please confirm that the unit you have procured takes the same power source as your existing unit (i.e. gas vs. electric).

Mendonoma does not have any natural gas (NG) lines - all gas appliance will need to be converted to LP (liquid propane) before use.  

Please confirm that, in the case of gas appliances, the unit is either already converted to LP, or is accompanied by a conversion kit (please inform us if we will be converting the appliance, so we can schedule accordingly).

We will only deliver appliances purchased at Jr's in Gualala.  We charge our standard rate for this ($130/hour or $200/hour depending on whether the unit requires one or two technicians to load/unload) and it may be more cost-effective for you to arrange other transportation for your new unit.  Although we are careful and well-equipped, we are not a shipping company and as such are not liable for any damage incurred during transport.

We charge disposal fees for old appliances which we haul away and responsibly dispose of.  This ranges from $10  to $150 depending on the size of the appliance in question.

We are not HVAC contractors and cannot install [new] venting, nor can we install fireplaces, furnaces, or AC systems.​​
